Extraction 2 is an American action thriller movie written by Joe Russo and directed by Sam Hargrave. It’s a sequel to the film Extraction which was released in the year 2020, the film stars Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, an Australian black ops mercenary who takes on a mission to save an Indian drug lord’s kidnapped son in Dhaka, Bangladesh, but later in the movie the mission goes out of the normal when he is double-crossed.

Synopsis: After scarcely surviving in his previous mission of extracting an Indian boy from Dhaka, Bangladesh, Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) took retirement from his mercenary work to a cabin in Austria. Afterward, Tyler Rake was approached by an unknown person and asked to rescue his ex-wife Mia’s sister Ketevan (Tinatin Dalakishvili) and two children of hers, Sandro and Nina. Ketevan was married to Mr. Davit Radiani (Tornike Bziava), one of the co-founders of the largest criminal syndicate in Georgia. Later on, Davit threw an agent of the DEA from the bridge, because of which he is imprisoned and unable to bribe his way out due to the pressure imposed on him by the Americans.
Ketevan and her children were forced to move into the prison by Davit who wanted to be close to his family members but the worst living conditions and the abuse by Davit caused Ketevan to call Mia for help. Concurrently, Zurab, the brother of Davit, is informed by a governor on his payroll that the sentence of his brother has been extended to ten years.

Movie Review: Extraction 2 is a high-octane action thriller that promises the highest level of excitement and entertainment. Chris Hemsworth is back as Tyler Rake, a black ops mercenary who is sent on a mission to rescue the imprisoned family of a ruthless Georgian gangster. Netflix movie, Extraction 2 is directed by Sam Hargrave, who also helmed the first part of the movie Extraction, and he does a masterly job in crafting some of the most intense and visceral action sequences ever put in the film.
The other part of the film is just a roller coaster ride packed with action sequences, in addition to Tyler Rake taking on a variety of enemies in a variety of different settings. The movie is also surprisingly violent, with some scenes showing plenty of grume and bloodshed. However, the violence never feels gratuitous, and it actually serves in addition to the intensity of the film.
Furthermore, the action Extraction 2 also features some strong performances from the supporting cast. Golshifteh Farahani is particularly good as Nik Khan, a CIA agent who is helping Rake on his mission. Idris Elba also makes a brief appearance as a villain, and he is simply menacing.
